This year's theme for the annual Golden Stave childrens charity Gala Dinner is "Fairy Tales & Fantasies", so I decided to illustrate a scene from the Charles Perrault tale "The Sleeping Beauty in the Wood". I couldn't help but include my cocker spaniel as Puff... :)
"She touched with her wand everybody (except the king and queen) who was in the castle -- governesses, maids of honor, ladies-in-waiting, gentlemen, officers, stewards, cooks, scullions, errand boys, guards, porters, pages, footmen.
